djbdns is a simple yet powerful DNS server that works.
Unfortunately its source code can not be compiled under any Microsoft Windows environment.
Because of such restriction, I suspect an incredible amount of website addresses are currently served by buggy and slow native Windows solutions.
As a primary example, most home computers shipped with Windows rely on the Internet provider's DNS cache to acquire internet addresses. These caches can get extremely busy and are mostly unreliable.
DaNielS is meant to change all of this by bringing the power and speed of djbdns to the Windows community.
